These tips will not only save you time but also ensure your application stands out in a crowded field.
Tip 1: Outsmart the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with AI
Did you know that many companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to screen resumes before a human even glances at them? These systems scan for specific keywords and phrases, and if your resume doesn’t match, it might never make it to the hiring manager’s desk. But here’s where it gets controversial: relying solely on AI to create your resume might not cut it, as it often misses the nuances of your unique background. Instead, use AI as a tool to identify and incorporate job-specific keywords from the posting. For example, prompt your AI assistant to extract key verbs and skills from the job description, then weave these into your resume.
